The 5 Stages of Running a Successful Coaching/Training Business

From newly qualified to fully booked, discover the 5 stages every successful coach and trainer must navigate to build a thriving business. Which stage are you in right now?

Stage One is where you are at when you have completed a coaching qualification and done some free coaching with people outside of your course.

Stage Two Is all about your identity. Most of us have an identity related to our job. Even a retired teacher will tell you, ‘I’m a retired teacher.’ Your task is to tell EVERYONE, ‘I’m a Coach/Trainer.’ This will cement in who you are and make it feel real.

Stage Three Is about charging for a coaching session, particularly if you are employed and have always received a salary. Even if you charge £20 for a session you will have a profound neurological shift towards charging.

Stage Four Is about developing a coaching programme with a number of interventions not related to cost per hour. Many coaches have programmes/packages because they find it easier to sell. An alternative is to design a plan around what your client wants to achieve. For example, if they have limiting beliefs, you may want to start with a Time Line TherapyTM session before several coaching sessions to support them in achieving their goal.

Stage Five You have made it! You have just replaced your salaried income for six months or more.
